It’s confirmed that Virgil Van Dijk has signed a five-year deal with Juventus for €35m, making him the most expensive signing in Serie A.
Juventus are also reportedly willing to offer the midfielder a new five-and-a-half-year contract worth €25 million.
The 20-year-old has been at the San Siro since the age of five, when his father, a soccer player, made him a full-time professional.
After spending two seasons at Roma, Van Dijn was signed by Tottenham as a 16-year old.
Since then, he has become one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe, with a number of clubs interested in his services.
Last season he made his first-team debut and was named in the Europa League squad, where he scored the opening goal of the season.
In his first full season at Juventus, Van Gijn scored nine goals in 31 games, including a hat-trick against Barcelona.
In 2017-18, he was a member of the Europa, Champions League and Serie A squads.
