Financial institutions have long relied on financial address information from their customers, who are known as financial accountants.
However, these information are usually only available to those who are verified by the bank.
The IRS requires banks to report their financial address to the government, but not all banks have complied.
To find the financial address of your financial institution, visit www.finance.gov/financial.
To get the name of your bank, use the phone number listed on the back of your checking account.
If your bank doesn’t have a bank phone number, you can call 1-800-544-2900.
If you have a financial account with the IRS, you may also be able to access your account details by visiting the IRS website at www.irs.gov or calling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Financial institution financial address reporting deadline The deadline for reporting a financial address change is March 15.
To receive your financial address report, you’ll need to go to www.financialinstitution.gov, which will direct you to the website where you can download your financial account information.
To change your financial name, you must visit your bank’s website and click on the “Accounts” link at the top of the page.
To report a change in your financial information, call 1:800-839-8339.
